William J Hurley

William "Liam" "Billy" J. ,Hurley (77) of Manchester, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 19th 2022. He came to America from Ireland in 1986 and worked at King Construction as a Master Diesel Mechanic until his retirement.  Liam was a long time member of the Irish Club in Glastonbury, CT where he played golf with friends, the Bog Trotters Golf League.  

Liam leaves behind, his wife Claudia and his loving dog Sadie;  daughter Iris Hurley and her four children Declan, Orla, Liam and Kate, daughter Katherine Hurley Shine, and her three children William, Ciara, and Aisling, daughter Sinead Hurley and her three children Oisin, Tom and Mary Jane; stepdaughter Maria Daigle and husband Leo; stepson Eric DeMilia and his partner Rebecca and stepson Jason Schumey and wife Christine and their four children Devon, Dylan, Kaitlin and Alison; brother Martin Hurley and his wife Noreen and their daughter Marian from Cork, Ireland; sister Dolores McMahon and husband Pat from England as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews in Ireland, America and England.

He loved people especially his family and friends and always had a story or a funny saying to tell. Liam helped anyone in need and will be dearly missed, wherever he is, there's going to be a great lawn!

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4-7:00PM on Wednesday May 25th, 2022 at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 7:00PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
