Willard Lee Robinson

Willard (Bill) Lee Robinson, 94, of Manchester, formerly of Vernon, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Bill was born on September 24, 1928, in Manchester, CT, the son of the late Chester and Ruth (Jameson) Robinson. Bill graduated from Manchester High School and Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. He was employed by the Hartford Insurance Group for many years and retired from Gardner & Peterson as a surveyor. Bill spent his summers on Gay Island, Cushing, Maine in a cottage that his father had built. He made it possible for his family to create many wonderful memories together and share in the beauty of nature. Bill, Dad, Gramp, we were blessed that you were always there for us and we know you will continue to be with us.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Smith) Robinson, three children, Gordon Robinson and his wife Cheryl, Lynn Hellinger and her husband Clarence and Glenn Robinson; four grandchildren, Nathan Robinson, Caroline Prem and her husband Lorenz, Kyle Robinson and fiancé Holly, Kevin Robinson and his wife Jill; and five great grandchildren, Lucian, Reece, Guy, Camden and Lenzi. We will be forever grateful for amazing Grace Akuamoah of Athena Home Health who was his wonderful aid for the past two years. She helped make his life much more enjoyable. And to Ryan Fitzgerald, his hospice nurse, who went above and beyond - we cannot thank you enough for always being there for not only Bill but for the whole family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at East Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, are in charge of arrangements.
