Victor J. Binks, age 96, of Manchester, CT, beloved husband of Marguerita (Jarvis) Binks, passed away after a short illness on March 10, 2021. Victor was born in Manchester on July 17, 1924. He was the son of the late Joseph and Henrietta (Sloane) Binks.
Victor proudly served his country in the Army during WWII as a Medic. He graduated from UConn with a Bachelor's and Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. His working career included Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Standard and International Fuel Cells. Victor was directly involved in the Apollo Space Missions. He was an avid golfer, chess and checkers player. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and singing in the St. Mary’s choir. Victor and Marguerita enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with their grandchildren.
Victor was predeceased by his spouse Marguerita of 42 years and his son Ronald Lawrence. He is survived by his 5 children and their spouses, Bonnie and Gary Barile of South Windsor, Loralee and John Boardman of North Carolina, Victoria Binks of Manchester and her fiancée Dennis Kaba, Joseph Binks and Harry Caprilozzi of Norwich, Cheryl Bolduc of Enfield along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Victor is survived by his sister Pearl (Binks) Minch of Manchester along with her sons David and Robert Minch.
