On July 2, 2021, Stefan Cehelnik passed away peacefully at home at the age of 71. He was born on November 11, 1949 to his loving parents, Andrej and Maria Cehelnik; both of whom were predeceased. Stefan lived an honorable life, first starting with a journey to the US in 1957 from Germany, to later in life, beginning his career, serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. For most of his life he was with his loving wife, Carol Cehelnik, in marriage for 49 and half years, what a great bond those two had. He was preceded in death by his two sisters: Irene Wolicki and Sofia Racine. He is survived by his other sister: Regina Valvo, along with many nephews and nieces, as well as grand nephews and nieces. Although his life was cut short, he still got to enjoy his many hobbies, one in particular included mechanics. Stefans love for cars, including fixing up his mustang, was one of the many memories of him that he leaves behind. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Hillstown Road Veterans Cemetery, 180 Hillstown Road, Manchester, CT.
