Sandra J. (Pattishall) Fitzpatrick

Sandra Jean (Pattishall) Fitzpatrick, 74, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023. Born on August 21, 1948, in Hartford, CT, to the late Marie Roberts DeLusso, and raised by her stepfather Joseph A. DeLusso.

Sandy was a proud graduate of Coventry High School, later moving to and residing in South Windsor for 50 years. She was a loving and amazing mother, always putting her family first, and taking pride in doing so. Her days were often spent on the beach, and she cherished her morning ritual of a hot cup of tea.

Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, George Fitzpatrick, whom she married on August 15, 1970. Sandy's legacy continues through her daughters, Tracy and husband John, Amy and son-in-law Mark, and Kelly and husband Derwin, who was caretaker for Sandy. Also left behind are her cherished grandchildren, Madison, Adam, Troy, Jake, Eddie, and Dylan. She is also survived by her brother, David and wife Pam, who she loved very dearly, numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Paula Smith, who will remember her fondly. Sandy was predeceased by her brothers, John and William (Butch).

Sandy's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. Her spirit will continue to inspire. Friends and relatives are invited to join in remembering and celebrating Sandy on August 2nd, from 6-8 pm, at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home located at 400 Main Street, Manchester. A Mass is to follow on August 3rd, at 10 am, at St. Bridget Church located at 80 Main Street, Manchester. Burial at St. Bridget Cemetery will be directly after mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waters Edge Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, CT.
