Ruth Irene Staddon passed peacefully on 8/4/2022 into the arms of her heavenly father at the age of 97. She was born April 24, 1925 and was the second of 4 children born to Robert and Lillian McAllister. She was born in Manchester, CT where she lived most of her life. She married William Arthur Staddon from Morgantown W VA on February 17, 1945. They had 5 daughters, Virginia Ruth, Gail Elizabeth, Sharon Marie, Nancy June and Judith Ann. Her beloved husband of 52 years passed away December 17 1997. After her husband died Ruth moved to Cape Coral Fl permanently to be in the warmer climate and to be close to her daughter Virginia. She lived there for 20 years until 2014 when, after a fall, she moved back to Manchester to the home of her daughter Sharon and son in law Bob where she resided until her death.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel (Rita) McAllistter, Mildred (Wesley) Nowsch and Edna(Bob) Lorensen. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Virginia (Dave) Harvey in 2012 and daughter Nancy (Steve) Bleiler in 2019.
She is survived by her daughters Gail (Ty) Voigt, Sharon (Bob) Harss and Judi (John) Sanderford,
10 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Ruth was a faithful member of the Gospel Hall in Manchester CT and Fellowship Chapel in Cape Coral Florida.
One of Ruth's favorite bible verses are found in Psalm 121 – 1- 4
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of Heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip, he who watches over you will not slumber or sleep."
A Grave Side Service will be held at East Cemetery on Monday, August 8th at 11am.
