Beloved husband and father, Richard “Dick” Alden Lewis, 74, of Manchester, CT, passed away on December 31, 2019 at home surrounded by his family after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia.  Richard was born in Worcester, MA, to Marshall W. and Eva (Gates) Lewis. Dick was raised in Auburn, MA and Bolton, CT. He graduated from Manchester High School where he was co-captain of the football team. After high school, Dick graduated from the University of Hartford. Upon graduation, he worked for Hamilton Sunstrand for 45 years as an electronic technician.  Dick married Sharon (Edwards) Lewis December 9, 1967. After being married Dick and Sharon then moved to Germany where Dick served in 182nd LEM Co. while Sharon worked as a nurse in the military hospital. While in Germany Dick and Sharon loved traveling through Europe in his Alfa Romeo. Dick was extremely athletic and enjoyed playing softball, volleyball and he especially enjoyed golfing with his buddy’s. Dick will be remembered for being an avid fan of the Red Sox, NY Giants, and the UCONN Women Huskies. Dick was known to be fun-loving and the first one on the dance floor, he was able to make everyone feel like a part of his family, he was the life of the party and a Jack of all trades. Dick was a grateful, loving man who went above and beyond for his family, he will be missed immensely.   Richard “Dick” Lewis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Sharon and his children, Michele (Santino) Guachione, Bret (Amy) Lewis, and Bethany Lewis.
