Richard A. "Dick" Kingsley, 85, a 51 year resident of Manchester, beloved husband of 61 years of Alma (Whitman) Kingsley died peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018 with Alma at his side. Dick was born on April 12, 1933 in Pittsfield, MA one of six children of the late George and Elizabeth Kingsley. He was raised in Pittsfield, attended local schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Dick was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving his country during the Korean War. He was employed for over 35 years with U.T.C., retiring as a Sheet Metal Foreman in 1990. Dick was a member of Pittsfield Grange #14, a member of Manchester Lodge #73 A.F. & A.M. as well a longtime member of the Omar Shrine. In addition to his wife Alma, he is survived by his son and two daughters-in-law; Duane and Elaine Kingsley of Coventry and Donna Kingsley of Hancock, MA, two grandchildren; Hannah Kingsley of Hancock, MA and David Montroy and his wife Jen and her children; Cameron and Aiyanna all of Coventry, his two sisters; Bernice Keeler of Pittsfield, MA and Alma May of California, his sister-in-law Phyllis Kingsley of Richmond, MA and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his son Dean Kingsley, two brothers; Harold and George and his sister Betty. A calling hour will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1-2 pm with a memorial service at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private in East Cemetery, Manchester at the convenience of the family..
