Patty L. (Spofford) Cyr

Patty (Spofford) Cyr, 84, from Vernon CT passed away on December 21, 2020 of Covid 19.  She was born on April 17, 1936 in Deer Isle, Maine to the late Pearley Spofford and Christie (Eaton) Spofford. Patty was one of 9 children. Patty called Connecticut her home, where, as a young woman, she raised a family of 6 children. Patty spent her career working as a waitress for many years at Windsor Grill and then as an accountant for Tomasso Construction. Patty loved to travel and spent time on the road with a friend traveling across the country.She leaves behind her children, Gary Cyr and his partner Cathy Voisine of South Windsor, Michael Cyr of Manchester, Craig Cyr and wife Laurie Cyr of South Carolina, Roxann Smith and her husband David Smith of Newington, Pamela Cyr of Manchester.  Patty also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by late husband Romeo Cyr; their youngest son Todd Cyr from Indiana also passed away hours before Patty at the age of 58 due to liver cancer.  Todd was born on March 26, 1962 and spent most of his adult life in Indiana. Todd leaves behind his partner Tonya Coldwell, his son Jeffrey Cyr, a daughter Mallory Mourning, and her husband Steven Mourning and their 4 children. Todd also leaves behind Tonya’s two sons Justin Coldwell and Josh Coldwell. There will be no services at this time.
