Patricia (Woods) Corcoran, 83, of Manchester, loving wife of 64 years of Thomas K. Corcoran Sr. passed away at home on Monday, November 12, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born on July 9, 1935 in Manchester, daughter of the late James Woods Sr. and Ethel (McCollum) Woods. Pat was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Coventry. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Bolton. Pat, better known by her loved ones as “Nanny,” loved spending time with her family, especially the children. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crosswords and puzzles. Nanny had a strong faith and love for her country. She especially enjoyed her annual summer trip to Ocean Park, Maine with her husband and grandchildren where they spent every Fourth of July. Nanny could always be found at the beach from late afternoon til sunset, where she enjoyed the solitude and could steal a bit of peace. She will be greatly missed by her three daughters; Teri Mitchell and husband John Mitchell Jr., Tami Glew, and Tina Corcoran, her son Thomas Corcoran Jr. and wife Mary, daughter-in-law Sherrie Corcoran, and her sister Judith Mrosek all of Manchester, her eleven special grandchildren; Katie Corcoran-Wojtkowiak and husband James, Jamie LaPointe and husband Walter, Kelly Corcoran, Nicholas Corcoran, Ryan Corcoran, Tyler Glew, Casey Corcoran-Grimsley and husband Tony, Jennifer Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Sheena Wraight and Shawn Robbins and her adored ten great-grandchildren; Jacob Wojtkowiak, Asher Grimsley, Salem Grimsley, Terence James, Janasia James, Mason Newman, Madelyn Wraight, Gwen Robbins, Logan Robbins and Landon LaPointe. In addition to her parents Pat was predeceased by her son Timothy Corcoran and her brother James Woods Jr. A time of visitation will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1-4 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm at the funeral home. Burial with committal prayers will be in East Cemetery, 240 East Center St. in Manchester on Monday, November 19th at 1 pm. Thomas K. Corcoran Sr., 85, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital; 14 hours after losing his beloved wife of 64 years Patricia (Woods) Corcoran. Tom was born on April 12, 1933 in Hartford one of four children of the late Russell and Frances (Ulrich) Corcoran. He was raised in Manchester attended local schools and was a graduate of MHS. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving his country in US Army. Prior to his retirement Tom was employed for over 30 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Tom, better known by his loved ones as “Pop,” was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan. He was known for his great story telling which always came with a sense of humor. Pop had an adventurous spirit, sliding down a water slide head first and doing cannon balls at his 80th birthday party. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every July, he and Pat would pack up their van and take along their grandchildren for a vacation in Ocean Park, Maine. So many wonderful memories were made there at the family cottage where Pop was famous for whipping up a batch of his potato pancakes. He will be greatly missed by his three daughters; Teri Mitchell and husband John Mitchell Jr., Tami Glew, and Tina Corcoran, his son Thomas Corcoran Jr. and wife Mary, daughter-in-law Sherrie Corcoran, his eleven special grandchildren; Katie Corcoran-Wojtkowiak and husband James, Jamie LaPointe and husband Walter, Kelly Corcoran, Nicholas Corcoran, Ryan Corcoran, Tyler Glew, Casey Corcoran-Grimsley and husband Tony, Jennifer Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Sheena Wraight and Shawn Robbins and his ten great-grandchildren; Jacob Wojtkowiak, Asher Grimsley, Salem Grimsley, Terence James, Janasia James, Mason Newman, Madelyn Wraight, Gwen Robbins, Logan Robbins and Landon LaPointe.
