Olga S. Delany, 100 of Bolton, died on Thursday April 7th 2022 at Evergreen Health Care Center. She was born in Willimantic, CT the daughter of Michael and Anna (Pienta) Stygar who emigrated from Poland in 1911. She attended Willimantic schools and was a resident of Bolton since 1958. Olga was married to her beloved late husband Franklin E. Delany for 62 years. She was a bank teller in Willimantic and secretary with the Bolton school system. Olga was instrumental in the establishment of the Bolton Senior Center and acted as treasurer for many years. She was a parishioner of Saint Maurice’s Church in Bolton and an active volunteer in the many activities and events sponsored by the church. Olga was a kind and gentle woman with a good sense of humor and loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling the hemisphere with her husband Franklin during their retirement. She is survived by two sons, Michael Delany and wife Carol of Gainesville, FL; David Delany and wife Donna of Tolland; six grand-children, Daniel Delany and wife Agnieska, Kathryn Stalker and husband Steve, Elizabeth Robinson and husband Zachary, Charles Delany and wife Tara, Lauren Belgrade and husband Jacob, and Erin Cary and husband Timothy; nine great grand-children; Madelyn and Andrew Delany, Alycia Delany, Brooke, Gabrielle, and Savannah Stalker, Everett and Archer Delany, Bennett Belgrade; and several nieces and nephews including God-daughter Kathy Mallon Choptij. Olga was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Franklin and Edward Stygar, Loretta Wadsworth and Jennie (Ginger) Mallon. A funeral service will be held Monday April 11, 2022 at 11:00AM at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester the family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow in the Bolton Center Cemetery, 33 Hebron Road, Bolton, CT.
