Julie A. Sycz (Byron), age 58, of South Windsor, passed peacefully in the presence of family on September 26, 2022. Julie was born to Thomas Jr. and Joan (Gault) Byron on April 3, 1964. A graduate of East Catholic in 1982, she went on to pursue higher education and received her Bachelor’s from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Julie dedicated her life to caring for others, working in early childhood education for 20 years before changing careers to Interim Health Care, where she cared for seniors as a CNA and Home Health Aide. In addition to her work, she was active with Autism support groups as well as Juvenile Diabetes.
Julie is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Jack Sycz, her son Christopher, and her two stepsons Jack Jr. and Stephen Sycz. She also leaves her mother Joan Byron, brother and sister-in-law Tom and Becky Byron, and two nephews, Alex and Thomas Byron.
Services are to be held at First Congregational Church of Andover on Thursday, October 13th at 11:00am. Her burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made in her memory to any autism support/research group or to the American Diabetes Association.
