Jeanine G. Midlin, who could light up a room with her infectious laughter and warm presence, took her final bow on October 13, 2023, in Vernon, Connecticut. Born in Manchester, Connecticut on May 23, 1933, she lived a vibrant life spanning 90 years, full of music, art, and a pinch of sass.
Jeanine sprang from the loins of Alton Gilmore and Evelyn Machelle. She was a proud graduate of Manchester High. In her professional life, Jeanine worked in manufacturing at Pratt and Whitney. Jeanine began her life's journey with her first husband, John Mullin and had three children, Sheila Newell and the late Kathleen Mullin and John Mullin. Jeanine was also a beloved grandmother to Amber Colby and Michelle Newell. Music was Jeanine's first love and she could often be found humming a tune or tapping her feet to the rhythm of a song. She had an artistic soul and found joy in acrylic painting, capturing the world around her in bold, vibrant strokes. She was a regular in the community plays at Wells Village, both on and off the stage. Her love for travel took her cross-country to California and Florida, with her late husband Stanley Midlin.
Jeanine's life was a comedy show, filled with joy, laughter, and love. And like any great show, it had to come to an end. But she left us with a lifetime of memories, laughter, and lessons in love and friendship. Her spirit lives on in her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched with her humor and kindness. Farewell, Jeanine G. Midlin. You brought laughter and love into our lives, and we will forever remember you with a smile.
