James Q. Wallin
Obituary
James Q. Wallin of Manchester, CT passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2023 at Manchester Hospital. Born in Amsterdam, New York on August 28, 1960, he was the only child of the late James R. Wallin Jr. and Anna (Quini) Wallin. He graduated from State University of New York in Albany in 1982 with Bachelor degrees in both Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He spent many years at UnitedHealthcare and was currently employed as a Senior Business Analyst at Aetna, a CVS Healthcare Company.
Jim was looking forward to retirement so that he could travel, play more golf, finish a few projects around the house and cottage, and spend more time with family and friends. He was a lifelong NY Jets and Yankees fan. He loved his job, family, and friends.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Palmer and her son Greg, aunt Patricia Wallin, and cousins Thea, Judy, Tim, Rob, and their families.
Visitation will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT on Sunday, February 26 from 1:00-3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jim’s memory to MACC Charities, 460 Main St. in Manchester, CT 06040.
