Elizabeth ``Liz” Kaye Brown was welcomed into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday April 9, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of Terrell “Terry” A. Brown and Nancy E. Brown, born in Columbus, Mississippi on June 19, 1982. She was predeceased by her father, Terry, and survived by her mother, Nancy Brown-Robbins and her husband Joel, of Florida; brothers, Michael Guess and his wife Kelly, of Virginia; Jonathan Guess and his wife Natasha, of North Carolina; and her sister Katherine Felch and her husband Scott of Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her grandmother, affectionately known as Bobchie.
Liz had a vibrant personality who like her father, a hilarious storyteller, filled the room with laughter wherever she went. Kind, loving, and compassionate towards all, she was a social butterfly and could relate to anyone she met with her bright, easy smile. She loved her family and treasured her friends and was passionate about music, culinary cooking, and the beach. She found joy and comfort in her cats and loved butterflies. The transformation of an ordinary caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly amazed her.
We hold our family memories of Liz close to our hearts: gatherings round the dining table at Bobchie and Grandpa's for countless celebrations; Cape Cod vacations and Nauset Beach; whale-watching; St Pete Beach Florida; tropical birds and beautiful sunsets; the North Carolina shore; Disneyworld and her love of Tinkerbell; those Alabama family gatherings; southern food and Johnny’s Bar-B-Que. And always, lots of laughter and good times.
Liz lost her longtime battle with addiction, but she never gave up fighting for recovery. Her bravery and persistence in the face of illness and chronic pain was courageous. We leave her in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ and envision her fully restored and at peace, lovingly reunited with her dad.
Memorial services and burial will be privately held.
