Elaine F. Smith

Elaine F. Smith “Suzie”, 82, of Bolton, CT passed away in her sleep at home November 21, 2020. Elaine leaves behind 3 sisters, Janice DeNigris and her husband John of Manchester, CT, Christine Sallstrom and her husband Malte of St. James City, FL, and Karen Aspinwall of Andover, CT. She also leaves 5 nephews, 2 nieces, and many grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins; co-workers at The Association of Retired Teachers, and many long-time friends, including Canine friends Zoe, Chief, Molly and Sammy. All of whom she loved dearly. Elaine was predeceased by her parents Howard L. Smith and Jane Zelanski Smith as well a sister Lois Williams and her brother-in-law Mark G. Aspinwall. Elaine was an avid NASCAR fan and visited many of the local tracks in the past. She was a loyal UCONN Women’s Basketball fan and enjoyed going to many of the games. She also was a fan of the Hartford Whalers back in the day. Elaine was a loyal customer at The Shady Glen in the Parkade and had many friends there. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Private services are planned for the Spring of 2021 at the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
