Douglas Ware Obituary

Douglas D. Ware passed on November 26, 2021. Douglas was born in Granville, N.Y. on April 26,1934 to the late Ossian and Marion (Bailey) Ware. Doug graduated from Granville High School in 1950. Doug served in the Army during the Korean War. After the Army Doug became employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Connecticut where he worked for 45 years until his retirement in 1999. Doug was predeceased by his wife Mickey on December 24, 2012 after 54 years of marriage. Doug was also predeceased by his son James Ware, brother Donald Ware, sister Patricia Chapman, a nephew Jeffrey Ware, niece Colleen Bailey. Doug is survived by his daughter Lynn (Walter) Nightingale of Connecticut, grandson Andrew (Nicole), Nightingale, Brett (Sarah) Nightingale and a granddaughter Courtney Nightingale as well as many nieces and nephews.
