David R. Moseley, 73, of The Villages, FL and East Hampton CT, passed away on Friday May 20, 2022 at Hartford Hospital where he was born on June 8, 1948.
David was predeceased by his father, E. Samuel Moseley, his mother Natalie Ann Carpenter Moseley and an infant brother, Christopher.
David graduated from Manchester High School in 1966 and studied engineering at Mitchell College and the University of Connecticut. He retired from Hartford Life after a distinguished career as a programmer.
David loved to travel and, along with his wife Meredith, planned many European and domestic trips. He was looking forward to a cruise in Alaska this July. He and Meredith took up golf in 1999 and spent many happy hours on the courses in CT and in The Villages and The Green Zone course 100 miles south of the Artic Circle. His grandsons recently showed and interest in golf and he was delighted to encourage them.
David is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Meredith Drake Moseley, his precious daughters Kimberly Boulette (Warren) of Vernon CT, Dacia Marszalek (Paul) of Clinton CT, his sisters Janet Muro (Tony), Kathleen Moseley and Suzanne Faucher (George), his stepson, John Michael Rourke, his beloved grandchildren Nathan and Kelsey Boulette, Ryan and and David Marszalek, and his sister-in-law, Joanne Cournoyer (Leo). He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles and many cousins. With everyone, he made lasting memories. He loved them all dearly.
Calling hours begin at 3:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 5:00pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT.
