Claire F. (LaForest) Kissman

Claire F. Kissman, 86, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 29, 2020 surrounded by her family. The daughter of  the late Francis and Vernice (Smith) LaForest, Claire was born and raised in Palmer, MA, but resided in Manchester for over 50 years. Claire received her training as a nurse while serving in the US Air Force. She also enjoyed her summers at the shore and socializing with friends and family. Claire is preceded in death by her sister Loyce St. John. She was married to the late Paul C. Kissman for over 50 years and leaves three children, Patti LaForest, David and Ott Kissman and Paula Kissman all of Manchester. She adored her three grandchildren, Matthew Kissman of Middletown, Alex LaForest (and fiancée Jocelyn), and Delaney Kissman both of Manchester. She is also survived by her two sisters, Helen Charrette of Enfield and Jean Russell of Monson, MA and a brother Francis (Linda) LaForest of Monson, MA and her brother-in-law Wayne (Karen) Kissman and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her loyal furry companion, Max and her cousin Gary Kissman. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Active Day of East Hartford and a special thanks to VNA Hospice.
