Anthony (Tony) V. Kastauskas passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 23, 2021. He was born in Manchester, CT on November 3, 1948 and was a life-long resident of the town’s North End. A butcher by profession, many long-term residents of Manchester will remember Tony behind the meat counter of Highland Park Market for many years.
Tony loved sports, especially baseball. He was an avid Yankee fan. He played in the Little League as a youth, and as an adult went on to coach teams for both his son and grandkids. In his later years, he took great pleasure in attending their games to watch them play. He was a loving father and grandfather, whose greatest joy was being with his family.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Edna (Rudin) Kastauskas. He leaves behind his beloved son Anthony V. Kastauskas Jr., and grandchildren, Evan Anthony and Hailey Lynne Kastauskas. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Geza Zoller. Tony was blessed to have many lifelong friends who loved and supported him in his later years, particularly Richard Andrulot of Bluffton, SC and Michael Orlowski of Manchester, CT.
