William P. Poole Jr.

William Phillip Poole Jr., 82 of Manchester, CT, beloved husband of the late Judith Poole, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at The Residence at Glastonbury. He was born May 17, 1941 in Waltham, Massachusetts and lived in Watertown, MA. Son of the late William Poole Sr. and the late Winifred Poole, he had been a resident of Manchester since 1979. He served in the United States Air Force as a Combat Documentary Photographer. William was employed at Pratt and Whitney of East Hartford for several years before retiring in 2009. He was a member and a Deacon of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford and was a member of the church choir. He was previously a former member of South United Methodist Church, Manchester where he was a member of the church choir and his artistic talents are still admired by the congregation today. He is survived by his two daughters Stacy Ann Plumley of Malden, MA and Sarah Marta Poole of Manchester CT, his grandson Deacon Phillip Poole, son-in-law Michael Plumley, his niece Deborah Munn and brother-in-law Alexander Munn of Weymouth, MA. Calling Hours will be held on Monday, January 29th from 5pm till 7pm with a Memorial Service at 6:30pm at Holmes and Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester, CT.
