William K. Figley Jr

WILLIAM KANE FIGLEY 88, of Manchester, Remembering William Kane Figley, Born September 16, 1926 and passed July 21, 2015. William was survived by his only sister Margaret Willoughby. And predeceased were his loving wife, Arlene, daughter Jill Sullivan, and only brother David MacDowell Figley. He will be very sadly missed by his children and their spouses William and Rosemary Figley, Patrick Sullivan, Jacquie and Dennis Roy, and David and Kimberly Figley. Along with his grandchildren and spouses Rachel and Christopher Martine, Nathan and Andrea Figley, Theresa Ellis, Patrick and Amy Sullivan, Erin, Michael, and Timothy Sullivan, James and Robert Roy, and Jennifer and Michael Figley. Not to mention by name, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. William was a devoted family man. He served in the U.S. Navy as a tail gunner and was a true patriot. He believed in American freedom, starting and operating his own business for 35 years till the age of 87. He enjoyed life to it's fullest, devouring good food and long conversation. And we all know, the Ohio State Buckeyes and UConn women will always be number one. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial with military honors will be in the Valley Falls Cemetery, Vernon.
