William J. Cullina

William (Bill) J. Cullina, 88, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, December 10, at home. Bill was born in Hartford, CT, on July 31, 1933. He was the son of the late William J. Cullina and Mary (Cormier) Cullina. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Theresa (St. Pierre) Cullina, daughter Yvonne (Cullina) Johnson and her husband Kurt Johnson, granddaughter Jennifer (Johnson) Shaw-Mumford and her husband Evan Shaw-Mumford, sister Annette Lavigne and her husband Don Lavigne, brother-in-law Robert St. Pierre, sister in-laws Irene Weiss, Rita Rossito and her husband Tony, Yvonne Gauthier and her husband Bob, and many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his son, John Michael Cullina. Bill worked at Empire Tool, Purdy Corporation and was the proud groundskeeper at St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester. He was also a committed volunteer at Manchester Memorial Hospital for many years. His military service included being a marine during the Korean War, the Connecticut National Guard for over 20 years, and was a member of the Governor's Foot Guard. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 16, at 9:00 am-10:30 am at Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester.
