William H. 'Bill' Lorne

William H. "Bill" Lorne, 62, of Manchester and Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on April 1, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on May 12, 1954 in West Palm Beach, FL. Bill owned and operated his own clothing stores in Delray Beach, Lake Worth, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, FL. He was also a licensed antique appraiser and antique dealer. In 2002, Bill and Michele became part time residents of Manchester, CT.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Michele, adoring daughters Kelley and husband Jeffrey Potrekus of Palm Beach Gardens and Amy Lorne & fiance Timothy Lubinsky of Alameda, CA, parents Bill and Nancy Lorne of Boynton Beach, FL, siblings and spouses Cathy & Mark Snow of Roseland, FL, Michael & Mary K. Lorne of Delray Beach, FL, Patrick & Joan Lorne of Delray Beach, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sister Deborah Lorne in 1956.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, April 7, from 7-9 pm at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 9:30 am at Saint Peter's Church, 104 Main Street Danbury, CT 06810. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow the Mass in New St. Peter's Cemetery, Lake Avenue Ext. Danbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colon Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Avenue NW, Suite 1066, Washington, DC 20005.
