Vytautas Gulbinas

Vytautas Gulbinas, 79, of Broad Brook, CT passed away at his home on Friday, November 8, 2019. Vytau was born in Lithuania and came to Manchester at age of nine after spending four years in Germany. He was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1959. He was a talented and lifelong baker, veteran of the Army 82nd Airborne division, and beloved brother, father, uncle and grandfather to a large family that loved him dearly. Vytau will be deeply missed and will always be remembered for his infectious smile that he brought to everyone close to him. Vytau was predeceased by his parents Natalija and Vincentas Gulbinas, his sister Nijole Bushnell and niece Vicky Bushnell. He is survived by his daughter Dawn Gulbinas and son Jason and his wife Soultana Gulbinas; his grandchildren Alexios and Ioanna. He also leaves behind his siblings Donna Gulbinas, Gedi Gulbinas, and Christine Giacalone, and several nieces and nephews including Linda and Michael Bushnell, Kendra and Keisha Slaughter, and Gigi and Louis Giacalone. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 12:00 noon, Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040. The family will receive friends and relatives one-hour prior at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Saint James Cemetery, Manchester, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
