Victor J. Roman, 67, of East Hartford and formerly of Ellington and South Windsor, died unexpectedly Friday February 27, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. He was born November 10, 1947 in Hartford, son of the late Felix & Mildred (Dagilis) Roman. Victor was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the Porter School of Engineering Tool Design. He worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Division of UTC as a Project Engineer for many years, at Linatex Corp. of America in Stafford Springs as a Product Manager and later retired from C & S Distributors of South Windsor as a Window Order Analyst in Sales. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting and trout fishing, bowling, golf, was active in many area leagues and scored a hole-in-one at the Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington, VT. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants and UConn Huskies basketball teams. He is survived by his son David S. Roman of South Windsor, his sister Judith Roman of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William, his sister Nancy Roman Karat and his niece Joanne Karat. At Victor's request, funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
