Thomas J. Panciera, 66, of Tolland, husband of the late Donna (Randall) Panciera passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. Tom was born on March 6, 1951 in Manchester son of the late Milton and Sophia (Bohenko) Panciera. He was raised in Manchester and attended local schools. Tom was a proud veteran serving in the U.S.M.C. He was employed as a Calibrator for Rogers Inc. for over 30 years. He enjoyed his travels to Costa Rica, spending time at his family cabin on Lac Megantic in Canada and his camp site at Sun Valley in Stafford. Tom loved the outdoors, fishing and watching wild animals and birds. His true love was his family and he especially enjoyed cooking their birthday meals throughout the year. Tom is survived by his two daughters; Rhonda Bartone and her husband Anthony of Tolland and Judythe Panciera and her fianc Steve Luzzi of Manchester, his four loving grandchildren; Heather (Bartone) Plank and her husband Joseph, Samantha Bartone, Kaitlin Panciera and Alison "Allie Cat" Panciera, three great-grandchildren; Amanda, Leah and Daniel Plank, his sister Linda Rec, two sisters-in-laws Sharon Madore and Marjorie Green, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his wife and parents Tom was predeceased by his son T.J. Panciera. The family invites you to celebrate Tommy's life with them on Sunday, Sept. 24 at Sun Valley Campground, 51 Old Springfield Road in Stafford Springs from 2-6. Tom's ashes will be released in Lac Megantic at a later date. Watkins Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
