Thomas O. Mayer

Thomas O. Mayer, 64, of Vernon, formerly of Tolland, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Tom was born on January 14, 1953 in Manchester. Tom was the son of Otto T. Mayer and the late Peggy (Piercy) Mayer. He was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of MHS, Class of 1971. Tom earned an associate degree from MCC, and worked in IT at Aetna for many years. In addition to his father Otto and his wife Dorothy, he is survived by a brother, Stephen Mayer and his wife Cookie, his sister Sue Thomas and her husband Adron, his nieces Lindsay and Carey Thomas and Lindsay's fiance Alex Marotto. In addition to his mother, Tom was predeceased by his brother John and his nephew Justin. Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours.
