Theresa Mary (Grondin) Crandall, 73 of East Hartford, formerly of Manchester, loving wife of George A. Crandall, was taken to heaven by her Angels on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from her home with her Care giving husband at her side after a long illness.
Theresa was born in Hartford on February 1, 1943, daughter of the late Ernest John Grondin and the late Leona Marie (Berube) Grondin. She was raised in Hartford and had been a resident of Manchester for many years before moving to East Hartford. She was employed in the aerospace industry before retiring. She enjoyed crafting, loved all animals, but was happiest when she was with her family.
With her husband, she is survived by five daughters and three sons, Darlene Parker and her husband Richard of Manchester, Victoria Brewer of Manchester, Michelle Daries of Rockville, Lisa Rogers and her husband David of Coventry, Petrese Simianakis and her husband Michael of Florida, Dane Brewer and his wife Tena of Washington State, Gerald Lee Fortier and his wife Pauline of Tolland, Jeff Crandall of Enfield, her sister Marie Thibodeau of Glastonbury; her sister-in-law, Ida and husband Richard Brown of Manchester, brother-in-law David Crandall and wife Arlene of Enfield, 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by a daughter, Charlotte Zapor, a great-grandson, Baby Danny Zapor, and a sister, Marjorie Haskell.
Visiting hours are Sunday, April 17, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 18, at 11:00 AM in the Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 31), 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford.
