Thadeus R. ''Ted'' Krysiak

Thadeus R. "Ted" Krysiak passed away peacefully on June 12, 2015 at the age of 95. He was born December 19, 1919 in Norwich, CT, the son of John and Sophie Krysiak. He was predeceased by his brother John Krysiak Jr. Ted attended Norwich Free Academy and Putnam Trade School. Soon after, he was employed as an Engineering Analyst with Pratt & Whitney where he worked for 47 years. During that time he was granted leave to serve in the United States Navy for two years aboard the U.S.S. Saugus (1944 - 1946) near the end of WWII. Ted was a longtime fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball team and attended many games. He also enjoyed attending Manchester High School marching band practices and events. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Tumicki) Krysiak from Montville, CT for 70 years and they settled and raised their family in Manchester. He is survived by his four sons and their spouses, Paul Krysiak & Kathy Barnes, David & Carol Krysiak, Charles & Michele Krysiak, Thomas & Sherri Krysiak and two daughters, Nanci Krysiak and Carla Krysiak. He has 8 grandchildren; Michelle, Tyler, Krystina, Kristen, Lindsey, Ryan, Sean and Jared and 6 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Funeral services will be on Wed. June 17, 2015 at 10:15 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St Bridget's Church, 80 Main St Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bridget School Endowment, 74 Main St. Manchester, CT 06042 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
