Susan J. Borofsky

Susan J. (Hulser) Borofsky, 68, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Peter G. Borofsky died peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2017 with her family at her side. Susan was born on October 13, 1948 in Manchester daughter of the late John and Joan Hulser. She was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of MHS, Class of 1966. She was employed as a child care provider for over 25 years.

Susan's love of family and friends was without limits and what most defined her. She could often be heard saying that her greatest joy and accomplishment in life was being the mother of her two sons, Peter and Adam whom she loved dearly. As a mother Susan, will be remembered by her sons as a comforting soul, fierce protector, confidant, and good friend. This love of family was only further expressed through grandchildren, Jack, Michael, Danny, Olivia, and Eva. Time spent on adventures around her beloved Manchester or cuddling on the couch to read a story were cherished moments. Simply hearing 'Grandma' as the children entered the room could bring a tear of joy to her eyes and mischievous smile to her face for the fun that was about to be had. Susan's family along with friends were the foundation upon which this kind and selfless women built her life around. Always the first with a joke or shoulder to lean on Susan devoted herself to her friends and their well-being. Susan's friends were never far from her thoughts and this would include her two loving sisters Diane and Nancy.

It is with full hearts for having had the privilege of this amazing woman in our lives and the knowledge that she is with her loving husband Peter that we honor Susan by sharing her most special goodbye given to all those she loved so much "Love you to the moon and back, mom."

The family would also like to give special thanks to Betty Hartzog and Nancy Platek Whitman for their unwavering support and care for Susan in her final weeks.

Susan is survived by her two sons and their families; Peter and Katie Borofsky and their children; John Peter, Michael Stephen, and Daniel Alexander all of Tolland, Adam and Alicia Borofsky and their children; Olivia Joan and Eva Elizabeth all of Manchester, her two sisters; Diane Hulser and Nancy Platek Whitman and her husband Dana and their children, Susan's nieces and nephews and their families and Peter, her husbands, family.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Team Towanda Foundation P.O. Box 290185 Wethersfield, CT 06129-0185.
