Steven Arthur Punt

Steven A. Punt, 62 of South Windsor, beloved father, grandfather, brother, friend, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Hartford Hospital with his family at his side. Steven was born February 27, 1952 in Hartford, son of the late Arthur M. and Priscilla (Bourgoin) Punt and resided in East Hartford for most of his life, before moving to South Windsor in 1999. He graduated from Penney High School, Class of 1971 and attended Northwestern Connecticut Community College. In years past, Steven worked for an automobile dealership as an auto parts manager. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, South Windsor, an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and also had a great sense of humor. Steven is survived by a son, Christopher S. Punt of Naples, FL, a daughter, Donna-Marie Melillo and her husband, Michael of Southington, and their mother and his friend, Cheryl (Brunoli) Punt, a grandson, Lino Melillo, a sister, Linda Drozd and Rick Amenta of Gilbert, AZ, his uncle and aunt, Francis and Jeannine Punt of West Hartford and many relatives and friends in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Steven's name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Greater CT.
