Stephen K. Marsh

Stephen K. Marsh, 61, of East Hartford formerly of Wethersfield, husband of Monica (Shearer) Marsh, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home. Stephen was born in Effingham, IL November 19, 1954, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Lawson) Marsh and lived in Wethersfield, before moving to East Hartford in 2010. Stephen was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country for two tours of duty in Vietnam 1973-1978. Prior to retiring he worked at Mid-CT Project, Hartford for 10 years as a Power Plant Mechanic. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church Windham. In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by two sons, Jeremiah Marsh of Joplin, MO and Curtis Wong of Forest Hills, NY, three daughters, Heather Marsh of Tulsa, OK, Stephanie Marsh of Pittsburg, KS and Angela Stevens of Reading, MA two grandchildren, Hayden Williams and Olivia Stevens, a sister, Lana Henderson of Effingham, IL, three brothers, Danny Marsh of Penryn, CA, Kris Marsh of Mesa, AZ and Todd Marsh of Effingham, IL, several nieces, nephews and his furry legged kids, Reba and Angelina. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 27 Plains Road Windham, CT 06280. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Paul's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden. Immediately after the burial everyone is invited to attend a reception at the church.
