Stephen "Steve" Albert Carter, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on January 17, 1948, in Hartford, CT, Steve's life was one marked by courage, intelligence, and kindness, which he demonstrated in every aspect of his journey.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Carter, his devoted son, Stephen Carter, and his daughter-in-law, Kimberley. He also leaves behind his brother, Charlie Carter.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Steve served his country with honor and bravery. After his military service, he channeled his strong work ethic into his business, Stephen Carter Painting, which he owned and operated with diligence and pride. His commitment to his work was evident in every project he undertook, earning him respect and admiration within the community.
He was an avid golfer, enjoying many sunny days on the greens. His basset hounds were a source of endless joy and companionship.
Those who knew Steve will remember him as a man of great character.
