Stella Jokubaitis

Stella (Vitkus) Jokubaitis, 98, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late John J. Jokubaitis passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at home. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 25, 1920 daughter of the late Anthony and Domicelle Vitkus.
Stella earned the rank of Sergeant in the Women's Army Corp and served our country during World War II. She later worked as a bookkeeper and retired after many years at Szabo Food Service in East Hartford.
Stella had a passion for the fresh vegetables and flowers from her garden and also loved to travel. She enjoyed the opportunities she had to tour China, Australia, Italy, France, Spain and Lithuania, the country where her parents were born.
Stella is survived by her two children; Bruce Jokubaitis and his wife Stacy of East Hartford and Karen Collins and her spouse Rick of Houston, TX, her two loving grandchildren; Jason Collins of San Antonio, TX and Courtney (Collins) Floyd and her spouse Dr. Mark Floyd and their son Connor Floyd all of College Station, TX.
