Shirley (Taylor) Wilson, 85, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Harold H. Wilson, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her home with her family at her side. Shirley was born July 21, 1929 in Manchester, daughter of the late James & Margaret (Hall) Taylor and had been a lifelong resident. She was a 1947 Graduate of Manchester High School, a lifelong member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Manchester and her church meant everything to her, she truly loved the congregation. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a Secretary in the General Services Dept. for the Town of Manchester. Shirley was a lifelong "West Sider" and often reminisced of activities at the West Side Oval! She was a people person, family and friends were the light of her life. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Cunningham and her husband Michael, Kendall Jane Wilson, her son Robert E. Wilson all of Manchester, seven grandchildren, Mike Cunningham, Courtney Cunningham, Shane Wilson, Tanner Wilson, Cody Holmes, Dylan Holmes, and Emilee Holmes. Other survivors include Shirley's brothers, James Taylor and his wife Nancy, Robert Taylor and his wife Nancy all of Manchester and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her brother David Taylor and two sisters, Edna Maxwell and Jean Smith. Funeral services will be held Monday November 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 41 Park St., in Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
