Sharon Ann Benson, 73 of Manchester, CT, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home in Manchester.
Sharon was born in Hartford, CT on June 20, 1945 to the late Sylvester and Mary (King) Benson and was a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She has been a member of MARC, Inc. of Manchester for many years and attended St. Bridget Church.
Sharon enjoyed reading books, dancing, and the company of family and friends. She was the best sister ever and was a "spark of light and happiness" for her family during her childhood days.
She is survived by her sister, Sheila Allen of Oceanside, CA, ("I love you sister bellyache") and several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends at MARC.
A prayer service will be held Thursday, October11, at 10:00 AM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will be private in the East Cemetery in Manchester. There are no calling hours.
