Scott Anthony Futoma

On November 14, 2024, Scott Anthony Futoma, with his family by his side, transcended forth upon his journey. Scott was born on September 29, 1955 in Manchester, CT to the late Gloria Dandurand Young and Francis Futoma. He was a devoted father to the joys of his life Cole Futoma, 32 and Carly Futoma, 26, along side his wife Kathleen Stark Futoma of Coventry, CT. He will be greeted by his beloved big sister, Leslie Mancuso, whom he missed dearly.
Scott's journey over the last 8 years consisted of many physical hurdles that he was forced to overcome, yet he never found an excuse to keep him down. He faced every battle with strength, optimism and was a truly unwavering example of perseverance.
He shared his passion for painting, music, sports, and nature and cherished the simple things life has to offer. In particular, his love for birds brought him great peace, as he often would say they reminded him of freedom and the beauty of life's fleeting moments. Scott loved his work because to him, it was much more than a job but a part of who he was for 50 years. It was the creativity, the relationships it brought him, the dedication to show up his best everyday and the finesse of a perfect paint stroke. But above all, he loved being a father; the guiding light of his children's lives.
To all those impacted by Scott throughout his life, the family invites you to join them for calling hours on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester, CT. This will be followed by a time for friends and family to share memories.
He will be missed by all and forgotten by none. Legends live on. May we feel you in the wind, see you in the stars and hear you in the birds.
