Sarah A. Trudeau

Sarah A. (Discenza) Trudeau, 78, of East Hartford died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Manchester Manor. She was born May 25, 1938 in Hartford CT., the daughter of the late John and Nellie Discenza. She is survived by her son Mark Trudeau and his fianc Sheryl Cavanaugh, her sister Joan Blackburn, her brother John Discenza as well as nieces Robin Discenza and Katherine Santana, also sister in law Jean Trudeau and her family. In addition to her parents Sarah was predeceased by her beloved daughter Diane Trudeau in August of 2016. Sarah was formerly employed by Bank of America as a secretary for many years. Sarah enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets which she donated to various facilities about CT. Playing cards and cooking were also favorite pastimes for her. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 from 4-6pm with a service at 6pm. Burial will be private in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
