Sara Mildred Lange

Sara M. Lange, 96 of East Hartford, formerly of Manchester, wife of the late Herman J. Lange and the late T. Edward Oliver passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Sara was born in Lowell, MA on June 21, 1920, daughter of H. Melvin and Mabel F. (Webber) Copp and grew up in Brentwood, NH, living many years in New Hampshire, Manchester, CT and East Hartford, CT. Prior to retiring she worked for more than 15 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford. Sara loved country music & attended many concerts throughout the area. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds in her bird feeders. Going out to eat-especially lobster-was something she enjoyed & she did quite frequently. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Manchester Manor and the Masonic Care Hospice Staff for the wonderful care give to our Mom. Sara is survived by her loving family, three sons, William E. Oliver of Florida, Robert S. Oliver and his wife, Cindy of Manchester, Kenneth M. Oliver and his wife, Barbara of Bolton, eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and their families. Besides her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a son and his wife, Richard and Elaine Oliver. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 7 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester, with visitation from 5-7 pm prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Foundation 6110 Executive Blvd Suite 1010 Rockville, MD 20852-3914.
