Rosemarie R. (deLyra) Henry, 84 of Manchester, formerly of Vernon, wife of the late James E. Henry, died Wednesday August 16, 2017 at Touchpoints Rehabilitation Center in Manchester.
Rosemarie was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 17, 1932, daughter of Emanuel and Rose (Trombetta) deLyra. She was raised in New York and moved to Connecticut in 1957. She was a longtime member of the Center Congregational Church in Manchester and a member of the Manchester Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughter and three sons, Andrea Bacon of Manchester, Christopher Henry of Sacramento, CA, Raymond Henry of Norwich, and Jason Henry of San Francisco, CA, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, her sister, Virginia Kollman of Massapequa, NY and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Rosemarie was predeceased by her son, James C. Henry, and her sister, Gloria P. Henry.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 26, at 10:30 AM at the Center Congregational Church, 11 Center Street, Manchester. Private burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Vernon. Visiting time for family and friends is Friday, August 25, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester.
