Rose Marie Pierro

Rose Marie Pierro, 94, beloved daughter of the late Guerino and Antoinette (Mastropietro) Pierro passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018 with loved ones by her side. Rose was born in Manchester, attended local schools and was a lifelong resident. She began her career working at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and later at Cuno Manufacturing in Manchester until her retirement in the early 1990s. She enjoyed going to breakfast/ lunch at Fanis. In her early years she loved to dance and to take trips to the beach where she managed to acquire the darkest tan. Rose was an avid movie watcher and loved to read. Joey was more than her great nephew he was her best buddy and she loved him so much. She looked forward to seeing Joey and going to all the Marvel movies. The more action the better. People who met her loved her. A special thank you to everyone at Manchester Manor. Rose is survived by her sister-in-law Jeannette Pierro of Manchester along with numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her two brothers Michael Pierro, Rudolph and Mary Lou Pierro. Calling hours will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, in Manchester on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10 am at St. James Church, 896 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
