Rose M. Pastula, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, in South Windsor, CT. Born on January 14, 1924, in Coventry, CT, Rose was the daughter of the late Micheal and Helen (Dzwonszyk) Shirshac. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis L. Pastula.Rose attended Windham Technical High School, where she laid the foundation for her strong work ethic. Furthering her education, she attended the University of Hartford, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.
Throughout her life, Rose was known for her passion for simple pleasures. She found immense joy in playing bingo, a hobby that brought her both excitement and a sense of community. Rose was also an avid gardener.Professionally, Rose's dedication and friendliness shone brightly. She retired from BorgWarner Security Corporation after more than a decade of service in the office. Prior to that, she greeted countless individuals with her radiant smile at United Aircraft Services, leaving a lasting impression on those she met.
Rose's life was marked by her siblings, whom she outlived: brothers Micheal, John, Peter, Steve, and Joe Shirshac; and sisters Mary, Margaret Desjardin, Ann Ege, Julia Drabic, and Mary Benjamin.
A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Rose's life will be held on Friday, January 24th at Noon at Rose Hill Cemetery, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Those who knew Rose will gather to remember a life lived with purpose, love, and a touch of playfulness that left a smile on the faces of all she encountered.
