Rose A. Kvart

Rose A. Kvart (Abshere), 70, of Vernon, loving wife of 42 years to Albert E. Kvart died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with family at her side. Rose was born on March 5, 1953, in Princeton, West Virginia, daughter of the loving mother late Bertha A. (Farley) LaPointe and loving father Richard L. LaPointe. She was employed for almost 40 years at Vernon Visiting Nurse and Healthcare Services Inc. before retirement in 2005. Rose enjoyed spending days with her loving dog, reading, crafting, gardening, cooking a new recipe, day road trips, camping with her late husband and enjoying family gatherings when everyone was together. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife to Al, loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rose is survived by her daughter Christina Gladden of Manchester, and son Eric Kvart and his wife Nicki of Framingham, MA, her grandchildren; Kirsten Gladden, Skye Gladden and Drew Kvart, her great-grandson Bryson Gladden, her brother Roger L. Absher of Manchester, sister-in-law Mary Angeli and her husband Jack of Manchester. In addition to her parents Rose was predeceased by her brother Robert W. Absher, son-in-law Nathan Gladden, and grandson Kelby Kvart. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, February 20th from 5pm till 7pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street, Manchester CT. Burial will be private.
