Rosalie J. (Ciringione) Ferrara, 93, resident of Seabury in Bloomfield, Connecticut since 2014 and formerly of the Bronx, NY, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Ferrara, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at a local convalescent home in Manchester, CT after a brief illness.
Rosalie was born in the Bronx on February 27, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Campanella) Ciringione. She was raised in New York, and prior to retiring in 1992 had been employed in the accounting department of the American Kennel Club in New York City. She enjoyed watching TV, especially her favorite soap opera, General Hospital, reading, crocheting, and shopping.
She is survived by two daughters, Joni Ferrara and her husband William Peschke of Manchester, Laura Boscia and her husband Mike of Peekskill, NY, one grandson, Michael Boscia, two step-grandchildren, Justin Peschke and Sarah Peschke, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Donald Ferrara, and two brothers, Anthony and William Ciringione.
Services and burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY are private at a later date. The Watkins Funeral Home in Manchester has care of arrangements.
