Ronald G. Mottram

Ronald G. Mottram, 79 of Wallingford formerly of Manchester and Vernon loving husband of the late Elizabeth A. (Rolfe) Mottram and loving father of the late MPD Officer Kevin Mottram, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Masonicare Health Center Wallingford. Ronald was born in Lewiston, Maine August 21, 1937, son of the late Wallace C. and Florence I. (Proctor) Mottram. He was raised in Maine attended local schools and proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force 1957- 1961. He moved to Connecticut in the 1970's, residing in Manchester and Vernon for more forty-five years before moving to Wallingford in 2011. He was employed at Whitcraft Group, Eastford, CT retiring as a master machinist in 2008. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church Manchester, member and Past Patron of Temple Chapter #53 Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worshipful Master of Uriel Lodge #24 Merrow, CT and Worshipful Master of Friendship Lodge #145 Manchester, CT. Ronald is survived by his loving family, his son and daughter, John Mottram and his wife Patty of Temple, TX and Karen Keyes and her husband, Thomas of Louisburg, NC, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, three brothers and their families. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester. Private burial will be in the East Cemetery, Manchester. A visiting hour will be Tuesday from 10:00am to 10:45am with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 10:45am.
