Ronald Charles Haugh

February 14, 1940 — September 19, 2018

Ronald Charles Haugh, 78 of Manchester, CT, loving husband for forty five years of Ruth P. (Larm) Haugh, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT after a short illness.

Ron was born in Endicott, New York on February 14, 1940, the only child of the late Charles and Margaret (Close) Haugh. He attended middle school in New Jersey, graduated from high school in West Hartford, CT, served in the US Air Force, and then attended the University of Hartford. He has been a resident of Manchester since the early 1970's. Prior to retiring in 2006 he had been a laboratory technician for the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company in East Hartford, CT for forty two years.

Ron was a longtime and active member of the North/South (Civil War) Skirmish Association and participated in events throughout New England. He was an excellent marksman who enjoyed pistol target shooting and hunting. Ron was also an excellent photographer and enjoyed walking with his buddies at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester.

With his wife Ruth he is survived by a daughter and granddaughter, Suzanne Haugh and Correy Harris, both of Manchester.

A visiting time for family and friends will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester.
