Robina Rines

Robina "Robbie" (Stevenson) Rines of Manchester, CT, formerly of East Hartford, CT, beloved wife of the late David K. Rines died December 4, 2020. Robbie was born February 26, 1930 in Scotland, United Kingdom, daughter of the late Alexander and Alexina (Deans) Stevenson. She came to the U.S. in 1947 and settled in East Hartford before moving to Manchester in 1954. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Robbie was employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Manchester Board of Education. During her 20-year career she taught at Keeney Street School and Robertson School. Robbie was a longtime member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Manchester and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Temple Chapter #53 in Manchester. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Cran of Scotland, her son-in-law, Robert Heintz of East Hartland and many close and wonderful friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Marrdean Heintz. It was Robbies wishes to be cremated and have no funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC).
