Robert M. Samuelson

Robert M. Samuelson, 71, of Manchester, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 31, 2017 of natural causes. He was born in Manchester on August 14, 1946 and had been a lifelong resident. Bob attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1964. He earned his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Bob was a member of South United Methodist Church in Manchester since 1947. He was employed by Westinghouse based in Boston as a field service engineer for three years. Bob achieved his Connecticut professional engineering license then joined the staff at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over twenty eight years. He was the plant-wide energy savings engineer coordinating manager. Bob had many interests including a top of the mountain second home in Townshed, VT., where he was a member of the Vermont Snowmobile Club. Bob is survived by his parents; Robert and Mary Samuelson of Manchester and his sister Susan Molava and her husband Paul of Hilton Head, SC. A time of visitation will be held at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 12-1 pm with a service at 1 pm at the funeral home.
