Robert H. Ramsey

Robert H. Ramsey, 82, of Manchester, husband of the late Carolyn (Tinkler) Ramsey died at home on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Bob was born on August 2, 1932 in Atlanta, GA, son of the late Alan and Martha Ramsey. He was raised in Atlanta, attended local schools and was a graduate of Mercer University in Georgia. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an Underwriter with The Hartford for over 40 years. Bob was a longtime active member and former Sunday School Teacher at South United Methodist Church in Manchester. He is survived by his two sons; David H. Ramsey and his wife, Linda and their daughter, Emily of King, NC and R. Neill Ramsey of Manchester. He also leaves his sister, Nancy Shaw and her husband, Scott of Bloomfield. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main St. Manchester. There are no calling hours.
